The Mastery

Distraught once more He’s at the door

begging for admission

hesitantly masquerading an offer of submission

Without a leaf to feather bloom growing quite attached

influenced by the deadened wood

I reach the  hovel throw open the latch

Once inside farewells are said to inner hidden demons

I grant myself forgiveness

subjection released the soul weary beyond reason

Salvation wrought through ones bequest

baptized in term belief

returning to the roots I leave behind such blatant grief

He Knoweth All Things

Victory! (Death Where is Thy Sting)

Romans 8:11 (KJV)

But if the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you,
he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken
your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you.

Rejoice He liveth forevermore!

The tomb is empty
the Lord hath risen
death where is thy sting?

Triumph victory
the stone has rolled
resurrection
His saints now sing

The promise of rapture
returning in glory
the saints will rise to meet him

Christ returns
oh hallelujah
with robes of white
we greet Him!

Prayer

My resurrection and my life! Your word is alive in my heart and I rejoice! You have risen from death and You are my Lord! The stone of sin and doubt have been rolled away! I am a new being in Christ!

Thank you Lord,
Amen.

Balancing Life (Portion of Grace)

Hebrews 12:11 (NAS)

All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful ; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.

Image

Through life’s rivers I dabble and slosh. At times heavy currents of sin, trials and temptations cause my foothold to slip, becoming unstable ~ unbalanced; it is then my soul ~ my weary worn strained mind surrender ~ become totally reliant on my Rock of Salvation!

A sharp bend, a few razored stones embedded deep within the river bed; may cause hurt, wounding, cuts, and bruises, even may leave some scarring, but it is the process of healing that generates strength, faith, hope and trust in our Lord.

Rivers hold various types of rocks and stones, how they are perceived depends on ones observation. My prayer is that I may always look through eyes of FAITH, and not give in to thoughts of doubt. I pray that my hearts selfness will be hushed ~ tuned to the “Still Small Voice”. Through life’s waters, may I be constant drinking deep from the “Springs of LIVING WATER” I pray I may taste of His righteousness and sing of His mercy!

John 4:14 (ESV)

But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

Balancing Life’s check book

not always an easy task

debits of sins and daily doubts

create an earthly mask

Adding up all wants and needs

which ones are just and sound

continual prayer and seeking will

blessed credits may be found

Subtracting all the daily dues

from cares to chorus given

forgetting not the silent thoughts

heart memos sent to heaven

What will you find when life is done

and the books have all been known

the life long tally of your soul

as you stand before His throne

~

Balancing life in this earthly realm becomes a list of priorities ~ a balancing act ~ an equation. I have learned time and time again to be constant in re-evaluating my list, making sure my equation equals the sum of Salvation. Oh…other daily routines, and schedules may have to be laid aside to compensate for my soul needs, but “it will be worth it, every mile of the way”! Family absorbs my heart, love, and time, a very important part of the equation of a balanced life.

I am a sinner saved by GRACE, a child of God.

I am a wife, a mother to my children.

I am a writer, an encourager through God’s promises.

“Through the grace of our Lord I strive to be the best I can be”

~

Anchored in omniscience

I rest in the Almighty

my fashioned ideas give way to

promises and precepts

my Alpha and Omega of creation

the foundation of my thoughts

what will I do,~

with my portion of grace?

such opportunities

with no perchance

I continue living by faith

an overcomer

in His good pleasure!

I Believe (Hope is Born)

As I bundled up to head outdoors to our now snow blanketed back yard ~ my mind was floating through thoughts of possible captures. As many of you know, I love to encourage expressions of beauty through our Lord’s magnificent creation!

Setting my camera down and crouching to lace up my boots, my eye caught a decorative piece of the season; BELIEVE is what the deep red words spelled. My direction of viewing went straight to the letter “i”, that just so happened to be dotted by a beautiful little star! Instantly my thoughts plunged into the very reason for season….our blessed king that was born in a little stable~manger of hay. So humble was His birth, but mighty would be the WORD He would bring forth to the world. He would give the astounding gift of SALVATION to all that would believe in Him. Before the night was holy, before the angels rejoiced, His coming was foretold.

Isaiah 7:14 – “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign:

Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

With my camera dangling about my neck, and the little ornament in my gloved hands, I continued with my expedition. Entering the backyard there were a dozen beautiful multi coloured doves, nervously pecking at the scattered seeds on the ground. I walked slowly hoping not to frighten them. Peering up into my beautiful maple, I noticed the sun smiling on a couple of the lower branches. As some of the doves took flight, one awkwardly tried to perch on one of the lighted branches. The dove only stayed for a moment, but long enough for me to catch the natural warm glow of the sun on its soft feathers. How perfect I said out loud! The sun shining down on a beautiful dove symbol of LOVE! Making my way through the snow, I then placed my little ornament BELIEVE on the branch, and smiled as the sun graciously shone down upon the little star.

“Star of wonder, star of night
Star of royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect light.”

Excited with my new capture, back into the studio I went! All I could think of was how our Lord came to earth to be born of a virgin, to die on a cruel cross so we could be saved and given ETERNAL LIFE!   Oh what a wonderful Saviour! He gave His own blood for even me!

May we all reflect on our Saviour ~ His journey from the manger to the cross. This season is a beautiful avenue to share the LOVE of CHRIST and why we celebrate! Tell your children and your children’s children, “He is Lord”

I Believe

For every night

there is a morn

HOPE and prayer

flight is born

I BELIEVE

~

 For every TRUTH

there is a lie

for every LIFE

one must die

I BELIEVE

~

For every start

there is an end

for every straight

there is a bend

I BELIEVE

~

For every sparrow

there is a SONG

for every sorrow

JOY belongs

I BELIEVE

~

For every season

there is measure

for every CHRISTmas

there is treasure

I BELIEVE

~

For in a manger

lay our KING

brought to earth

let PRAISES ring

I BELIEVE

~

For from the manger

to CALVARY

SALVATION gained

souls set free

I BELIEVE

~

For from this earth

one day will part

ETERNITY to gain

never more to part

I BELIEVE

“Merry CHRISTmas”

A Christmas Story

A little girl was passing by

an old nativity

the paint was worn

and old wood chipped

the manger you could see

 ~

She walked right by

no giving thought

until she heard a song

she knew the tune

her grandma sang

‘twas where her heart belonged

 ~

Snow was softly falling

as she turned to take a look

beside the little manager

lay an old brown weathered book

its cover torn its pages worn

with gentle hands she took

and opened to a well used page

you could tell its faded look

 ~

She brushed the snow

from off the page

with tears that slowly fell

she closed her eyes

then hummed the tune

she knew the words so well

No care no worries

if one could see

she opened up her eyes

a little light was shining bright

her tears she quickly dried

For on the ground amidst the snow

she caught the softened  shadow

twas coming from the little manger

her faith now swiftly gathered

So plain to see within the shadow

stood the rugged cross

she clutched the book

and bowed her head

for she knew her soul was lost

 ~

Dear Lord she prayed

don’t pass me by

come in my heart to stay

I welcome you with open arms

don’t ever let me stray

Standing now she raised her head

for the heavens were aglow

and standing there in robe of white

was her grandma she loved so

 ~

Voices blended they praised and sang

oh glory to His name!

from on that hill so far away

where He bore my sin and shame…

“I will cling to the old rugged cross

and exchange it someday for a crown”

Thank You Lord (Thanksgiving)

For every time you stood by me

I want to thank you Lord

for all the ways you’ve shown me love

I want to thank you Lord

For being patient with me

while I had to try it my way

Oh lord I want to thank you

I want to thank you my Lord

~

For blessings that you’ve given me

I want to thank you Lord

For all the answers to my prayers

I want to thank you Lord

You give me what you think is best

not always what I want

O lord I want to thank you

I want to thank you my Lord

 ~

For sweet salvation in my soul

I want to thank you Lord

For dying on that cruel cross

I want to thank you Lord

And when I come to be with you

in my sweet home above

O lord I want to thank you

I want to thank you my Lord
