Homecoming

Cautious the winds

She wisps in and out

Weaving through realms

Of courageous war

Her spirit roams

Visiting familiar yet

Surveying regions

Careful not to embrace

To embrace would mean

She’d come home to stay

leaving behind earths magic

Restraints of gravity

Silent tearing catching destiny

Thus quick gasp of breath

Embrace now deliberate

Steady exhale of eternity

The Embrace

Sustain my heart

with a long good bye

watching you leave

till your shadow dissolves

into tears of longing

oh… not to be left behind!

Weary eyes that

give way to rest

slipping into dreams

of yesterdays

oh… familiar caresses!

from one who went before

Oh…what is this!

new life of watching

waiting and wondering

a world where

days are echoed

with such continual emptiness

Pleadings with prayer

oh…God help me!

release my body

from this prison

filled with little dignity

and racked with pain and sorrow

Respect of a life

the sword is raised

shrouded by heaviness

of grieving and death

oh…arms are lifted!

as breath turns into embrace

Mask of Doubt (Armor of Simplicity)

Moving a mountain is no easy task

To stumble on ones unbelief creates a doubting mask,

Faith is the substance of things not yet perceived

Your strength circumstantial on the brink to deceive!

Doubting ~ thus a lack in faith can deal

Impossible, for in confidence to say it is real,

Free ones heart from worries and fears

Embrace ~ grasping unrealities of hope with tears.

Simple is ones faith, a prayer of design

Its possibilities infinite and creates no space of time,

Clasped to realities ones trust to hope and prayer

Thus a product of unbelief should a soul to even dare?

No greater gift can one bestow to ones heart believe

The power of our mighty God through this one can achieve!

The simple trust of faith and prayer ones armor for the day

Will move that mountain great or small along life’s weary way!

that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
